Description:

Join Red Hen authors Bryan Hurt and John Brantingham for a night of fiction and conversation! Stay for a discussion about short fiction and craft, moderated by our own Monica Fernandez!

Reader Bios:

Bryan Hurt is the author of Everyone Wants to Be Ambassador to France and editor of Watchlist: 32 Stories by Persons of Interest. His stories and essays have appeared in The American Reader, Guernica, the Kenyon Review, the Los Angeles Review of Books, TriQuarterly, and many other publications. He is an assistant professor of English at Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, where he lives with his family.

John Brantingham is Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park’s first poet laureate. His work has been featured in hundreds of magazines and on Writer’s Almanac and The Best Small Fictions 2016. He has ten books of poetry and fiction including The L.A. Fiction Anthology (Red Hen Press) and A Sublime and Tragic Dance (Cholla Needles Press). He teaches at Mt. San Antonio College.
