Red Hen to Participate in LACAC Summer Arts Internship Program
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission has awarded Red Hen Press a grant to participate in the Summer Arts Internship program. The funded full-time internship over the summer will aid the press in publicizing and developing its 15th Anniversary Champagne Luncheon and Fundraiser at the Luxe Hotel on November 1st.
The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors established the Arts Internship Program

Writing in the Schools Student Anthology Published
Red Hen is pleased to announce the publication of The Power of Words: A Writing in the Schools Anthology. The anthology includes poetry written by students who have participated in Writing in the Schools (WIS). WIS is a literacy outreach program which brings Red Hen authors into underserved K-12 Los Angeles schools to teach poetry workshops.
Schools that have participated in the program and whose students are published in the anthology include Valley Alternative School
