Lesbian Books

Red Hen Press, a Los Angeles independent publisher founded by Kate Gale, offers poetry readings, poetry contests, book awards, and more.

Boreal Books, an imprint of Red Hen Press, was established in 2008 to publish literature and fine art from Alaska. The mission of Boreal Books is to bring Alaskan writers and fine artists to wider audiences within and beyond that great, but remote, state. It is edited by Peggy Shumaker, the former State Writer Laureate of Alaska.
