Welcome to Robinson Jeffers Now, a series of conversations with contemporary poets occasioned by the California poet, Robinson Jeffers (1887-1962), a major figure in American poetry of the first half of the 20th century.

Other collections include The Sound: New and Selected Poems, The Buried Houses (winner of the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize), The Country I Remember (winner of the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award), and the verse novel, Ludlow, was published in 2007 (2nd ed. 2010), and named best poetry book of the year 2007 by the Contemporary Poetry Review and winner of the Colorado Book Award. David concluded his teaching career a Colorado College where he co-directed the Creative Writing Program and served as Poet Laureate of Colorado from 2010 to 2014. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, David now lives in Tasmania, which is many miles and time zones from where I am sitting in exciting Normal, Illinois.
